Rumor: Sony Bundling Move, 500GB HD and 802.11N with PS3 This Fall

moveThe Sony press conference is a day away. While Microsoft has center stage thanks to the “Kinect” announcement and the looming press conference, Sony has its own announcements eeking out as rumors. Today’s rumor is not new but we’re close to the announcements so news of a PS3 upgrade and PlayStation Move bundle are not unexpected.

It’ll never compare to the original PS2/PSOne compatibility but bumping the unit up to 500GB or adding native 802.11N wireless are two ways to keep the value level up in the brinksmanship contest with Microsoft. We’ll find out more tomorrow I’m sure when the Sony Press conference kicks off 3PM ET/12 PT.

Price, Sony. Price matters.

320GB is probably more likely. And add a 4x or faster Blu-ray drive to the list.

However unlikely it may be, I’m also still hoping for PS2 back-compat. Srsly, Emotion-on-Cell was mentioned in a patent discovered late last year… Also, a card reader. Make it happen!
