It seems reports are coming in now that someone has actually hacked the Nintendo Wii…sorta. Apparently two hackers were able to alter a Zelda save file in such a way that it would cause the system to crash and then run their own code on it. So far, they haven’t really been able to do much though except run four lines of code after a day’s work. That’s not much, but it could be the first step towards some honest to goodness homebrew work showing up on the system. We’ll have to wait and see how far along they can get with this hack.
