“Run to the Hills” With Need for Speed: The Run (TRAILER)

It’s not violent; it’s not NASCAR. It’s Need For Speed.

A super-charged Porsche is the hero of the day in this new trailer for EA’s tent-pole racing franchise. Passing cars is apparently the name of the game in Need For Speed: The Run, and the Porsche passes ten of them, showing off the lushly rendered “Desert Hills” area of the game, which takes place at varies intervals along Highway 80, which stretches from San Francisco to New York.

Shortcuts, sparks flying, and immaculately rendered dust-clouds are all in evidence, along with stunningly realistic cars. To find out more about the game, check out the video below, available for streaming or download. We’ve also got a gallery of screenshots showing off the aforementioned Porsche.

Highly disappointed that the song “Run to the Hills” is not included in this trailer. Missed. Opportunity.

Is it only me that gets a strange Cruisin USA feeling watching this?

Phil, I will admit that I watched thir trailer fully expecting to hear some Maiden. When it wasn’t there, I didn’t see the point in the trailer.
