RuneScape Will Hit More Platforms, But No Info On Which

RuneScape, the browser-based MMO that just notched some 200 million accounts over its 12-year lifespan, is going to be available for you to play on things other than your PC soon. But we don’t know what those things are yet.

Jagex boss Mark Gerhard told Develop that the company intends to bring RuneScape to “any device that’s connected to the Internet,” as well as available in multiple languages. There’s also some kind of “major” innovation in store for the game in the coming months.

Everything else is a bit vague. The vision for Runescape, Gerhard said, is to be available everywhere and in every language, and Jagex is making “a big step forward in that direction” soon. If you ask me, my money is on some kind of iPad version. But other than all that, though, I guess we’ll have to wait for an announcement.
