Runic Working on Balance, Polish Ahead of Torchlight 2 Release

Runic Games still hasn’t laid down a solid date for the release of Torchlight 2, and that’s partially because of the beta that the developer ran this summer. The game is being tweaked and fixed, Runic says, so nailing down a date hasn’t been possible because it wasn’t clear how long those tweaks and fixes would take.

In a big new forum post, Runic’s Travis Baldree takes pains to explain why Torchlight 2 doesn’t have a release date yet. He notes that a lot of changes have been made to the game since the beta, specifically in the realm of things like character skills and balancing. Information gathered from beta feedback and Runic’s observations have driven those changes; once they’re done, final polishing will be done, and then the game will be released.

You can read the whole big-ass explanation here: it’s worth it if you’re waiting impatiently for more Torchlight 2 info.
