Ryse’s Multiplayer Challenge Editor Won’t Release at Launch

Ryse: Son of Rome‘s Challenge Editor in the multiplayer Gladiator mode won’t be available when the game launches on Nov. 22.

Associate producer Michael Smart confirmed to Digital Spy that the mode won’t be available on day one. “Right now we’re discussing when that’ll be available,” he said adding that SmartGlass functionality will “play into” the mode.

Ryse: Son of Rome’s Gladiator multiplayer sees two players work together to complete objectives in an evolving arena, with new traps and adversaries introduced in waves. The Challenge Editor will allow players to create and share their own combinations of maps and events into custom playlists.

I guess Crytek couldn’t rise to the challenge of getting Ryse’s Challenge Editor ready in time. You’re allowed to kick me for that.

What are your thoughts on developers delaying features in order to meet launch windows?
