S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat Mod – Misery

Here’s one of the biggest S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mods I’ve seen — the complete change list is simply staggering. The mod touches on just about every single aspect of the game: textures, weather, sounds & music, difficulty, AI, weapons & items, interface, realism… It even includes a few bug fixes for good measure.

Named Misery, the mod requires a high-end PC to run, is Steam compatible, and is insanely difficult. This is survival horror at its finest, complete with gritty atmosphere, with perhaps a tad too much realism.

This mod isn’t for everyone — if you wouldn’t call yourself “hardcore,” you may be overwhelmed.

I understand that they were trying to nail the zone atmosphere, but to me CoP had no soul to begin with. For me it does the equivalent as would playing LIMBO with a sepia filter.
