Sanctum 2 Trailer Gets Locked and Loaded

Coffee Stain Studios revealed today the first gameplay trailer of their upcoming title Sanctum 2, a cooperative game which hybridizes the tower defense and FPS genres.

Described as a mix of “intense action and strategic gameplay”, Sanctum 2 is a fully multiplayer game built in the Unreal Engine 3. The game melds the elements of tower defense and first-person shooter genres and tasks players to set up defensive towers and walls to take out waves of attacking enemies. Rather than sitting back and letting their towers do the work, players must jump into the fray in FPS mode as one of the game’s playable characters, each armed with their own unique weapons and abilities.

The game will be playable this weekend at PAX East 2013 at Reverb Publishing’s booth #1048. Additionally, players can also check out the other titles they have on show, including Guncraft, Edge of Space, and Beatbuddy.

Sanctum 2 is set for release on the PC, Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network this Spring.
