Sceptre Launches New Line of Performance LCDs

CES is the hardware and electronic fan’s E3. This year as manufacturers struggle to make 3D saleable, display maker Sceptre is unloading three new lines of LCDs aimed at entertainment markets as well as the hybrid console/movie fan. Sceptre is known for making cost-effective desktop monitors as well as the LCD displays common on home entertainment systems today.

First among its announced products are the huge 65″ 3D Displays that use polarized 3D technology to project crisp 3D images. The Galaxy line also includes 32, 40, 42, 46 and 55 inch models for those without huge display spaces. These 3D displays also include 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh and include 2 to 4 3D glasses depending on the size. Pricing for the units is still to be released.

Along with the 3D LED TVs, the company also introduced a line of performance displays including a 32″ Gunmetal frames unit and a crystal necked 55″ screen. These also use LED tech and claim to be tuned for maximum performance.

All these displays will begin to reach markets in April of this year with prices yet to be determined.
