Seagate Releases 3TB Desktop Hard Drive

goflex_desk_rightangle_320x340It might not be the sexy news of the day but for data pack rats like me the announcement of an external portable 3TB hard drive is like finding out Microsoft is delivering an Xbox 360 portable. The FreeAgent GoFlex 3TB drive sports USB 2.0 and can be modified to handle USB 3.0 and Firewire 800 with adapters. The whole line offers 1 and 2TB versions as well but for $250 you get a portable drive that might keep you from running out of storage space for a good while.

You can read all about the unit on Seagate’s website as well as locate retailers.
