See the Mass Effect 3 Collector’s Edition Unboxed, Complete With Robotic Dog!

I know, I know — you can’t wait for Mass Effect 3, especially after hearing about all the incredibly awesome stuff that’s coming in the limited Collector’s Edition version of the game, which will run you an additional $20 but includes loads of incredible in-game items.

Because let’s face it: A purely aesthetic robotic dog that doesn’t have any impact on the game and just trolls around the Normandy looking insanely cute is totally. Worth. The. Money.

EA and BioWare have just released this video showing everything that’s going into the Collector’s Edition of Mass Effect 3, and despite my sarcasm, it’s not just limited to a few in-game items and weapons that seem highly stupid. Also included are the traditional art book, a cloth patch (should you purchase from GameStop), avatars for Origin forums (should you purchase from Origin), and a postcard-size limited edition lithograph of the Normandy.

Hit the video below to see all the unnecessary goodness you could purchase along with the final edition of the Commander Shepard’s Mass Effect trilogy.
