Serious Sam 3 DRM Kicks Your Ass (Video)

Last we heard from Devolver CFO Fork Parker, Serious Sam 3 “combats piracy by being a fun, frantic game and offers wild ass 16-player campaign co-op.” Well, it turns out that’s not the only way the game combats piracy, as the video above demonstrates.

Pirated copies of SS3 “feature” an invulnerable enemy that relentlessly chases you at lightning speeds, attacking you until you die. Now that’s what I call effective DRM. I wonder how many angry pirates have been revealing themselves by raging on the forums about the pink scorpion king that won’t die?

AAA devs, there’s a lesson to be learned, here: punish the pirate, not the paying customer.
