SimCity 2013: How to Unlock All Disasters

The disasters of SimCity (2013) aren’t immediately available, that’s why we’ve put together a list showing you how to bring each catastrophe into your custom city. Classic disasters like the UFO return, while the new zombie outbreak will bring devastation upon an unwitting populace. There are plenty of ways to knock over the carefully placed dominoes that are your sim citizens and their homes with the list of disasters below.

There are, infact, more disasters hidden away in this iteration of SimCity. Stick with us as we see how to unlock those too.

How to Unlock All Disasters


NOTE: To unlock a disaster, you must complete a secret achievement. Fulfilling the requirements below will also earn achievements.

  • Tornado:
    Have 24 Wind Turbines at Wind Power Plants.
  • Earthquake:
    Mine 100 tons of coal or raw ore in your city.
  • Meteor Strike:
    Have 200 tourists arrive on flights at the Municipal Airport in a day.
  • UFO Encounter:
    Ship any resource to a Space Center Great Work.
  • Big Lizard:
    Burn 100 tons of garbage in an Incinerator at the Garbage Dump.
  • Zombie Attack:
    Add a Diagnostic Lab to a Hospital and have 15 Sims die in a day.

sounds like you just open the SImcity box and install the program, and you get one big disaster.
