SimCity Update 7 Lets You Raise Bridges, Dig Tunnels

Maxis has a new update in store for players of SimCity, which sees the addition of a raise/lower tool that allows you to raise bridges and dig tunnels for more versatility with road building and ease traffic congestion.

The developer has provided a rundown of the new features with a video that was released alongside the announcement.

The update is expected to hit Origin later this month and provide Mayors with new powers in managing traffic and flow.

It’s not known when Maxis intends to implement larger cities, offline mode, and terraforming into SimCity, although a leaked survey by the developer suggests that such features are on the way.

Sadly every Simcity 7 item just feels like troll bait nowadays. That said, tunnels and bridges look like a decent addition to the game. Now if they would just fix the bugs and allow citysized maps instead of the tiny village tile we got I might clock some more play time again.

Wow. It only took them several months and the game being roundly panned by critics and players alike to release a half-@ssed crayola version of two of the terraforming tools from the suite that was included standard at launch with SimCity 4. Such progress.

I obviously don’t own the game to know anything about it.
