Skyrim – Bleak Falls Barrow Puzzle Solutions

Early in Skyrim, while completing the main quest line, you’ll run into the quest to travel to Bleak Falls Barrow. One problem, you’ll be faced with your deadliest opponent yet — puzzles. Swinging your sword won’t save you from these sections, that’s why the egg-heads at Game Front are here to provide every Dragonborn with the solutions to these two puzzles.

Bleak Falls Barrow Puzzle Solutions
- Taking the quest to enter Bleak Falls Barrow from Jarl Barlgruuf the Greater of Dragonsreach, you’ll encounter two puzzles inside the Barrow.
- The puzzle is in a room containing three movable pillars and a lever need the door into the next chamber. To complete the puzzle, you’ll need to match the symbols on the pillars to the left with the symbols above the door.
- Move the three pillars and follow this order from left to right; Snake, Snake, Whale. With the sequence in place, pull the lever near the door and it will open. If you did not correctly solve the puzzle,
- On the path to the Golden Claw, up a set of stairs, you’ll reach a second puzzle with three movable rings. To find the correct pattern that the three movable rings must follow, look at the Golden Claw item in your inventory.
- The correct combination for the rings, from outermost ring to innermost ring; Bear, Moth, and Owl. If you’ve input the pattern correctly, use the Golden Claw to open the door.

If people needed a specific walkthru for this part of the game, figuring out this puzzle is the least of their problems.

Hey Andy,
There’s a bug in the X-box 360 and PS3 versions of Skyrim — if the pillars won’t move for you, leave the area and return. Make sure you enter a loading screen first before returning. Otherwise, save and restart your game.

I’m with Heru. If you cant figure those puzzles out, you have no chance. Just give up

Thank you Andy, I couldn’t figure out why the pillars weren’t turning. It’s my 3rd time through the game and I play on xbox and yeah, first time encountering the problem.

I agree, if your lost by this part of the game and actually need help to guide through, seriously, just take yourself to the hospital and see if they can help you with your brain damage.

I made it through the first puzzle, I cut down Averil and I chased after him, now I don’t know where he is? Do I ever catch back up with him? Iam at a waterfall looking down at a path below! Please help!

Heres the solution to all your problems! see the bottom of the claw in your inventory by holding a part and dragging it round until you see the 3 dots.
Look carefully. they got pictures. now, we will also learn you if you are lazy. and dont care about “mythical Doors” go to the console, the ` button, and type TCL
As it toggles collision
Now, this is a spoiler. Using tcl can get you to places like the top of the top of the top of the mountain of high hrothgar. Misson: GET TO THE MOON

the soluion is on the bottom of the golden claw same goes for the other ones i found the emerald claw,the coral claw, and i think the silver claw and ruby claw
theres one u dont need during the thieves guild quest will trying to find karliah
