Skyrim Bucket + Head Trick

Skyrim is just so full of people that need killing and items that need stealing, but the law wants to keep you down. But, ingenius players have already discovered the ultimate trick for escaping the long arm of the law and engaging in whatever criminal activity you want. The people of Skyrim can’t possibly defend against their one weakness… a bucket. Look below to learn more about this incredibly simple trick.

For more extra information on Skyrim, you’ll want to check out our massive walkthrough, or drop by the constantly updating cheats page where you’ll only find more hints like this.

Bucket + Head Trick

  1. Find a store with stuff you want. They’re everywhere!
  2. If you can’t find a bucket in the store, bring one with you.
  3. Pick up that bucket, swivel it around, and drop it over an NPC’s head.
  4. The NPC is now blind! Take whatever you want from their store with no consequences.
  5. If you want to kill other NPCs, just drop buckets over the heads of every witness. Crimes can’t be reported if they can’t be seen.
  6. Enjoy ruling Skyrim.

OMG, does this really work? I mean, would the NPC’s have awareness programming THAT specific?!?!?!??!?!

If so, bravo to Bethesda! Bravo…..

god I really hope this wasn’t an intended part of the game, cuz thats just… special. especially since blind NPCs will report you of crimes.

this does not work on xbox 360. EVERY time I successfully drop the bucket on their heads, it stays for a maximum of 3 seconds before it goes flying off their head.

it works for me on 360, pretty funny. I don’t really use it to steal stuff though, since they never have anything cool on display.

It may not work on the 360 Because of the patch, if you clear system cache and don’t update, it should work :)

Is there any way to do this on pc?

It’s possible to do it on PC (Hold E), but I think they patched it. I did it 3 or 4 times, and the bucket would just come flying off the NPC’s head.

Bethesda said they do not plan on patching this one, as they have found it quite entertaining themselves.

I have Ps3 and can’t drop a bucket on the NPCs head so I let time elapse until it’s at least midnight check if they are in bed and take what I want. try it see if it works.

ROFL this is awesome! Just steal everything in the store, After putting the bucket on their head that is, might not work if you dont do that first, And then sell it all back to the store owner. Or you could put a bucket over the store owners head and then pick pocket and take all his gold, exit the store, and then go back in, and do it over and over.
