Sleeping Dogs Now Free to Xbox Live Gold Members on 360

Microsoft is taking a page from Sony’s PlayStation Plus playbook and making it worth it to shell out for an Xbox Live Gold membership. The seriously fun 2012 open world cop drama, Sleeping Dogs, is now free for Gold members on the Xbox 360.

It’s part of Microsoft’s Games with Gold program, which launched in October 2013 and gives subscribers two free games to keep each month. Sleeping Dogs is free to download through January 15 after which another worthy title will take its slot: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. That’s an impressive giveaway for January and comparable to the seriously terrific PlayStation Plus freebies for the month, BioShock Infinite and DMC Devil May Cry.

So stop reading and start downloading. As we said in our 90/100 Sleeping Dogs review, it’s a must play for fans of open world action.

It’s a good game, though the writing is really rushed at times.
