Slender: Source Gets Closed Beta in December, Release in March

Upcoming Source mod horror title Slender: Source is getting a closed beta starting sometime in December, with the full release of the game expected by March 2013.
According to a blog post by Slender: Source developer Justin Ross, the Ethereal Entertainment team is adding players to a closed beta list that’s pretty exclusive. The post also nails down the window for when the mod team is hoping to have their game completed: February-March 2013 for its initial public release. Of course, that’s a date that’s subject to change, but it seems that Ross is confident Ethereal can hit that target.
In the meantime, there might be a little room in that beta for savvy Slenderman fans. Following Slender: Source’s Twitter account and keeping an eye out is a good way to possibly get on the list. At the very least, it’s a feed of news about the mod for the next few months.

I’ll certainly keep an eye out for new developments around this game. It’s pretty impressive that Slender has a better handle on horror than most of the big developers do.
