Slenderman’s Shadow Has You Running Scared in 9 Locations
By this point, you might be in Slenderman game overload, and that’s fair. After all, a huge number of games related to the weird, suit-wearing, faceless child-stealer have been created in the last year, and many of them are pretty fundamentally similar to one another.
If you’re not, however, you might want to check out Slenderman’s Shadow, which wins points for variety of setting, if nothing else. The game features nine different maps, and from the trailer below, they’re all pretty impressive and diverse. They’re all largely extremely dark and lit by your flashlight, so…hooray, if you’re into that.
I, for one, still find the “silently pursued by an unknown enemy” idea pretty enthralling, and the environments of Slenderman’s Shadow look slick. It’s nice to see the monster coming out of the forest a bit. But I know other people who definitely hitting the Slender saturation point, so to those indie devs who are working on more titles like this — you might want to try to change them up some, at least in their mechanics. Hunting down notes is getting old.
That said, I’m still excited to see the full retail release of Slender: The Arrival. What do you guys think?
