Sly Cooper Returns To PS3 & PSP

Sly Cooper fans rejoice! According to the latest issued of PSM, it seems our favorite sneaky Raccoon will be making his way to the PS3 & PSP simultaneously and both games will have some kind of interactivity with one another. And better yet, we’ll be able to see Sly Cooper 4 on the PS3 at E3, so expect a bunch load of videos and screenshots to hit the web around that time

The latest PSM magazine scored an interview with Sucker Punch who had this to say about Sly Cooper 4:

“The graphics have been majorly overhauled and the gameplay will be more varied and focused this time around. We’re aiming for a fully interactive 3-d world, with no loads and seamless interaction between settings and characters.”

Sounds pretty interesting. I don’t think any platform type game has ever had a seamless interactive world with no load times. I’d love to see more games take advantage of the next-gen consoles and offer that form of interactivity.

    why not find a gaming cafe. see where i live theres this place called BEAT THE BOX and you can pay to play on there consles they have x-box and x-box 360

    The PS2 is a dieing console. sure it is my most beloved of all consoles and it defined gaming for me but the fact is its time people upgrade. The PS3 is amazing. if you cant afford one im sorry for you but just save up for it. they cost twice the price in europe and i got mine. get a paper route or give up sweets or something then you can get one and you’ll feel much better about it than just having it bought.

    I apologize for having to say this, but all people who want Sly 4 on PS2 are idiots, I’m no stranger to poverty, my mother and I barely get by on her social sceurity check that she gets once a month, but I still want Sly 4 to be on PS3. Sucker Punch is attempting to revolutionize Platform gaming, and I think they can succeed, and what better Franchise then Sly Cooper, this raccoon raised me and hes one of my favorite video game characters of all time, up there with Link (Zelda) Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII). I dont have a PS3, but ive been doing everything possible to save up for my PS3 to get some of the uber exclusives, including hoarding lunch money and searching the sofa for change. Suckerpunch has innovative ideas that the PS2 simply cannot support, and they are moving their most successful Franchise onto the Next-Generation Console, I’d like to thank Rorkimaru for giving a summarised descirption of what I just said, once again, id like to apologize for insulting some of you, but I’d sooner not see this game on PS2, and i think all true Sly Cooper fans would agree with me!

    Ok everyone, Sly 4 hasn’t even been confirmed to be in production yet. Sucker Punch is a fairly small company so they make 1 game at a time. They are currently working on Infamous, the PS3 Exclusive Super-Hero Sandbox game. I’m a huge Sly Cooper Fan, probably more so then anyone else on this site, and that’s why I want Sly 4 to be on PS3 when it is eventually created. You can’t put a price on the quality and happiness a next-gen sly cooper would create. When I first heard about the PS3, i started saving my money, and i am very very poor, my mother, sister and I often times cant afford food with my mothers social security check alone, so i saved up for over 3 years, and finally had enough for the 500$ 80G Ps3. I did everything I could, stole from people, bummed cash of people, looked for loose change, hoarded lunch money when i Received it, many things. Sly 4 will not be ob ps2, Sucker Punch is more intelligent then this, they desire to create seamless environments and gorgeous cel-shaded graphics that only Blu-Ray discs and PS3 hardware can support. The best way to determine whether your a true sly fan or not, is to ask yourself if you’d rather have it on PS2 or PS3, if you say ps2, your not a real fan. Even the poorest person here would say PS3 if they were a true fan!

    -they’d have to down the graphics ALOT
    -shorten the story line

    it may be, IF they can format all the things they are doing with the ps3 into a ps2 Style format

    OR

    they could make a ps2 game, but insted of sly 4– its a bridge btw Sly 3 and 4

    EX: Kingdom Hearts– Kingdom heats Chain of memories– Kingdom hearts 2 for people that cant afford the ps2 and avoid cutting stuff that couldnt be formated into the ps2

    Guys! Would you stop the fussing! They are still going to put it on PS2! I mean, I wanted to buy Prince Caspian, but the TV said it’s only coming out on PS3! But, when I went to Best Buy, there it was on PS2! So, they just mean that Sly 4 is also coming out on the PS3 and PSP! OK?     So basically you guys want to halt progress because you don’t have a ps3 or psp. I really hope all of you are joking. Remember jak and dexter? what happenend when they didn’t make it for the ps3 and instead went to the ps2 again. A crappy game that little effort is put into or a higher effort game with better graphic more interactive gameplay. If you want your brother to stop crying get a job and buy him a psp or a ps3 for yourself and get the game.

    I personally am very excited to play this game, I have all the original and will start them all over again so the story is fresh in my mind when I play the forth one.

    Hi I think that Sly 4 should come out on the PS2 because I don’t have a PS3 or a PSP and I don’t really want one but I do have a PS2.
