You may recall in Smash Bros. Melee how, in order to collect trophies, you would collect coins and redeem them in a virtual vending machines of sorts. Yeah, it was pretty lame, especially since you could end up with a lot of duplicates easily. In the next Smash Bros. game though, the coins are going to be used in a more interactive way. Essentially, they’ll serve as ammo in a mini-game where you roll coins down a board to shoot trophies and collect them. You’ll also be able to gather stickers by taking out formations of enemies. Yeah, it’s pretty much like Galaga, but it still beats a vending machine.
