This was shown a couple of days ago on the Smash Bros. Dojo site, but now it’s in a format where I can post it here, so… Here’s a new video from the upcoming Smash Bros. Brawl. Specifically, it’s the intro video for one of the game‘s new fighters, Pit, of Kid Icarus fame. The new Smash Bros. game will apparently have an honest-to-goodness story this time around involving a Subspace Army that wants to take over everything. Pit is tasked with helping to stop them by the Goddess of Light, who gives him his trusty bow and sends him down to Earth. And after watching this video, I have to say: wow, they really need a new Kid Icarus game. Seriously, it’d be awesome.

After seeing this Pit intro, I’m more excited at the possibility of Nintendo re-inventing Kid Icarus. How about giving a little more to us hardcore Nintendo fans rather than appealing to the mass audience that can never truly appreciate Nintendo as much as we have growing up.
