So is There a New Twisted Metal, or Not?

TWISTED-METAL-BLACKThe rumors are flying back and forth, and no one knows what is or isn’t true. Is there a new Twisted Metal in the works? If so, is David Jaffe working on it? The story has gotten so convoluted that you need a program just to figure out who’s playing these days.

First, we heard that Jaffe had said that he wasn’t working on a new Twisted Metal title, but he wished he was. Then Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter was quoted on GameTrailer’s Bonus Round as saying,

“Sony really does have good first-party content, non-Move first-party content, like Jaffe’s Twisted Metal 2 game.”

Now, it’s David Jaffe’s turn again.

On his Twitter page, Jaffe responded to Pachter’s comments, saying,

“Amused & surprised people not seeing Pachter’s comment as the joke it was. Hell I don’t care. Come E3 I’ll be sitting rite here at my mac”

So, what’s the real story? Will there be a new Twisted Metal? Who knows? All I know is that I’m sick of all the rumors and denials. If you’re making it, say so. If you don’t want anyone to know you’re making it, keep it quiet.

I look at it this way…NO. Honestly, just pretend you don’t think he’s making it, because I don’t think he is (though I really wish he would). If he shows something else you won’t be dissapointed because he’s said time and time again that he isn’t making it. If he does unveil it, the hoorah, we can all rejoice, but I don’t think he’s maing it. It could possibly be underway at Incognito, while Dylan Jobe works on Starhawk at Lightbox entertainment.
