SOCOM’s Rob Roy talked about the influence of the real life US Navy SEALs on the series at ComicCon 2008. Rob Roy has been featured on the cover of nearly every SOCOM game. He is the guy that makes sure that the game accurately portraits the SEALs.
Roy talks about where the game gives players an idea of what it’s like to be a SEAL and where the similarities start to break down. He also talks about SOCOM Confrontation which allows gamers to play members of other elite military units around the world.
