Fans have a lot to cheer about as Super Smash Bros. welcomes Snake to the dojo. The legendary Mercenary comes fully equipped with an assortment of classic Metal Gear weapons and signature moves.
Whether he’s shooting it at someone or planting something, Snake’s Special Moves use ordnance and so do his special attacks.

Snake’s Side Special Move: Remote Missile is called Nikita. Snake launches the guided missile which you can control. Unfortunately, while he’s concentrating on guiding the missile, Snake is vulnerable to attack. You can press the shield button to abort the missile if he comes under attack.

Snake’s Standard Special Move: Hand Grenade can be executed in three ways. Once you pull the pin you have a few seconds to tilt the control stick forward for maximum range, not at all for a mid throw or backward for a softer throw. Watch out. Grenades can be lobbed right back at you.

Every character has some kind of recovery special move. Snake’s is Up Special Move: Cypher. He can use his flying Cypher reconnaissance camera to recover from a fall. As always Snakes strong point is improvising on the battlefield.

This guy should really be fun to play in this game. I can’t wait to see what the gameplay dynamics are like with the new characters and moves.

question: when he grabs a character from behind, like above, can he then slit their throat? just saying, that’s the way it is in MGS.

Urgh. Still not sure about this guy. I mean sure the missiles and explosives are great but wheres the zany cartoon characters that represent Smash? I think they would have been better off announcing someone like Bowser Jr with say, the ability to transform into Shadow Mario.

Tom, dude, he has the frikkin’ box…he hides in a cardboard box in the middle of a fight
He’ll be a really popular player I’m sure. Maybe the most…unless Sonic is in it.
