Some Guy Is Trying to Remake Final Fantasy VII In Unreal

Man, I don’t know what to think of this. Apparently, some guy is working on a remake of Final Fantasy VII in the Unreal engine to try to figure out how to make games. I’m going to say this is pointless and unnecessary because we would rather you just make an original game. But if you’re enthusiastic about this idea, I have a trailer for you to enjoy that should get you going. Sigh.

It would be fine if the quality was higher…

Its current state is clunky and awkward; not something to show off.

As much I’d love a FFVII remake I want fans to stay the hell away from trying such things.

Sadly fans attempting to do remakes of old games instead of going for something original has become a trend of sorts, its cool when you do like a set piece from a old game to learn some tech or show some skills for a portfolio.

Going for the whole thing is a ridiculous waste of time.
