Sonic Generations Walkthrough

  • Act 2

    1. Dash forward through the alleyway and drop onto the grinding rail, then pass through the rainbow ring to launch yourself forward and land on the next series of rooftops. Move through the boosters and drop off the edge ahead, then grind the staircase rail on the left and hit another line of boosters at the turn.
    2. Use homing attacks on the next two enemies and enter the library, then boost through the window at the back and continue forward to bounce off the red bumpers. Eliminate the two enemies and jump to the next ledge above, then pass through the checkpoint and pass under the bed of spikes as it rises.
    3. Boost forward and use the bumpers to cross the two rooftops, then drop to the ground and pass through the boosters to dash forward. Smash through the barrels and drop back onto the city streets, then sidestep repeatedly to avoid the spikes and launch yourself off the boost ramp ahead.
    4. Move down the ramp and grab the zipline to reach the ledge above, then boost through the doors ahead and across the leftmost rooftop. Bounce off the cluster of balloons and eliminate the enemy ahead, then bounce off another cluster of balloons and move through the opening with the blade swinging in front of it.
    5. Hit the boosters to sprint up the track and through the checkpoint, then jump across the next gap and bounce between the walls to reach the ledge above on the right. Continue forward and bounce off the rightmost red spring, then eliminate the enemy and jump over the spikes.
    6. Boost through the loop and jump the next two gaps, then pass into the red ring above to launch yourself into the red spring and up the tower. Grind the rail and sprint up the building, then land on the next rail and grind down it to return to the path.
    7. Continue forward and use the bumpers to launch yourself onto the flagpoles to the right, then bounce up them to the ledge above and eliminate the enemy. Drop over the edge ahead and move forward when the swing blade passes, then bounce up the clusters of balloons to reach the small platform on the right wall.
    8. Jump up the platforms and move through the dome to the right, then use the next platform to reach the ledge across from you and grind the rail ahead. Drop onto the flagpole to bounce to the ledge above and move forward, then drop over the edge to land amongst the barrels below and continue ahead.
    9. Spin dash into the crates to eliminate the enemies, then jump to the next ledge above and eliminate the enemy. Stomp through the crates below to reach the ground and continue forward into the boosters, then sprint down the city streets and sidestep into the series of alleyways to keep the momentum.
    10. When you hit the wall, jump up the ledge to the right and eliminate the enemy. Jump to the next ledge and move right, then bounce across the clusters of balloons and hit the red spring at the end.
    11. Boost forward under the ceiling of spikes and through the loop ahead, then smash into the ground enemies to eliminate the flying machines and complete the level.
    12. Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: ROOFTOP RUN Restored! (Bronze): Restore the ROOFTOP RUN Stage Gate.

    What about the ring issue? I keep running out of rings before I can hit him, and even when I do get close enough, I don’t see my lock-on target,e ven when I’m playing as Modern Sonic.

    I get the same problem you do Ash, Time Eater, when I’m hitting him, I dodge the attacks and smash his orb. Orb gets really cracked to almost 1 more hit and dies, then I can’t even get near him and ring count is dead almost instantly.
