Sonic Generations Walkthrough

    Act 1

    1. Run forward and jump up on the first ledge to collect the ring box, then eliminate the flying enemy and continue ahead. Jump across the length of the two wooden bridge at the top of the next hill to take out the jumping fish enemies.
    2. Use a charged dash to fly up the next ramp ahead a hidden ring box, then continue forward and jump up the ledges to eliminate the crab enemies. Enter the tunnel ahead to dash through a series of enemies until you hit another ramp that launches you into a triangular cluster of rings, then continue forward when you land on the ground.
    3. Continue running along the designated path to gain speed until you a bumper that launches across the level. Sprint along the underside of the ledge ahead and bounce off a series of bumpers, then launch off the next ramp and hold forward on the analog stick to clear the bed of spikes below.
    4. Jump across the series of gaps to collect rings and clear another bed of spikes, then hop onto the swinging platform ahead as it moves towards you and ride it forward. Drop off the platform when you are past the long bed of spikes and bounce into the bumper on the ground in front of you.
    5. Push yourself to the right to land on the next bumper, then bounce back and forth until you are underneath a bridge covered in hanging vines. Use a charged dash to break through the rock ahead and enter the tunnel, then bounce off a series of bumpers until you are launched vertically into the air and land on the ledge to your right.
    6. Sprint down the hill ahead and move through a pair of loops, then drop down off the next ledge and bounce into the red bumper against the wall to launch yourself off a vertical ramp. Push yourself to the right, while in mid-air, to land on the swinging platform.
    7. Ride the swing forward and jump to the next platform, then ride the swing forward again and drop to the ground below. Eliminate the nearby enemy and jump over the bed of spikes ahead, then collect the extra life and two ring boxes in front of you.
    8. Jump onto the ledge above, then use a charged dash to eliminate the crab enemy and bounce vertically off of the red bumper to reach the net area above. Use a charged dash to move along the various wooden bridges ahead and across a grassy ceiling, then bounce between a series of red bumpers and land on the thin platform with rings on it.
    9. Bounce off of the flying enemy ahead to reach the yellow bumper above, then use it to launch yourself into air and land on the ledge to the right. Take out the flying enemy, then use a charged dash to break through the large rock at the edge of the ledge ahead and eventually bounce vertically off of a device that looks like a flag pole.
    10. Push yourself to the right to land on the next ledge and dash forward, then move through a pair of loops and a corkscrew to complete the level.
    11. Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: The Opening Act (Bronze): Race through the first stage.

    What about the ring issue? I keep running out of rings before I can hit him, and even when I do get close enough, I don’t see my lock-on target,e ven when I’m playing as Modern Sonic.

    I get the same problem you do Ash, Time Eater, when I’m hitting him, I dodge the attacks and smash his orb. Orb gets really cracked to almost 1 more hit and dies, then I can’t even get near him and ring count is dead almost instantly.
