Sonic Generations Walkthrough

    Act 1

    1. Spin dash forward and jump over the spikes, then eliminate the enemy and continue ahead. Use the moving platform to cross the gap and eliminate another enemy, then spin dash forward and drop through the openings in the rocks to the ground below.
    2. Move forward and jump onto the floating container by the exclamation point, then use the pink spin dash ability to move up the walls and across the ceiling. Bounce to the left off the yellow spring and bounce again on the flagpole, then move right along the ceiling to hit another yellow spring and enter the lowermost tunnel.
    3. Head forward through the tunnel and eliminate the enemies, then activate the blue switch to drop the floor out behind you and drop down into the new opening. Move left up the ramp and eliminate the enemy, then acquire the pink ability and jump onto the gear beside the exclamation point.
    4. Spin dash forward to turn the gear and reach the next ledge, then climb up the wall ahead and move left along the ceiling. Fall onto the platform when you hit the next wall and ride it downward, then eliminate the enemy to your right and drop into the opening ahead.
    5. Eliminate the enemies ahead and jump across the pink-lit platforms, then drop to the ground below and move forward. Jump across the revolving green platforms and eliminate the enemy ahead, then move up the ledges in front of you and take out another enemy.
    6. Move forward and use the block to cross the next gap, then jump to eliminate the enemy above and smash open the container below in the corner to acquire the pink ability. Jump onto the gear to the left, then spin dash forward with the pink ability to turn it and drop the drawbridge.
    7. Continue to the right and bounce off the yellow spring, then land on the gear above to the left and spin dash to turn it. Jump to the ledge above and continue forward, then pass through the checkpoint and spin dash forward down the track.
    8. Spin dash across the track until you hit a wall and ride the platforms you’re on upward, then jump to the ledge above on the left and move forward. Break open the container above the exclamation point to acquire the pink ability, then use it to move up the left wall and smash through the box at the top.
    9. Continue to the left along the ceiling and smash through the line of crates, then continue down the ramp and bounce off the yellow spring to activate the blue switch above. Jump to the next yellow spring on the left and land on the ledge above, then move forward and jump over the buzzsaw.
    10. Move forward and jump to the ledge above on the left, then pass through the checkpoint and turn back to the right. Use the green platform to cross the gap and jump over the buzzsaw ahead, then activate the blue switch on the floor and turn back to the left.
    11. Jump across the moving green platforms above to reach the ledge on the left, then spin dash through the two enemies and bounce off the next red spring below to boost up the wall ahead. Land on the next ledge to the left and activate the switch on the floor, then turn to the right and eliminate the enemy ahead.
    12. Break open the next container to acquire the pink ability and spin dash up the ramp to the right, then and on the ledge above and continue to the right. Jump the gap and move forward, then drop to the ground below and follow the arrow sign into the next tunnel.
    13. Follow another arrow sign into the tunnel ahead and jump over the spikes to activate the floor switch, then take out the enemy on the platforms above and move up them to reach the next ledge. Eliminate the enemy and jump across the green platforms ahead to take out another one, then spin dash down the track in front of you and launch off the ramp at the end.
    14. Smash open the container to acquire the pink ability, then jump onto the gear beside you and spin dash to make it turn. Spin dash in the opposite direction to move the gear again, then jump through the next checkpoint and over the bed of spikes.
    15. Use the pink ability to move up the ramp and along the ceiling until you land on the next ledge above, then spin dash to the right to drop all the way to the darkened area below. Break open the container to acquire the pink ability, then use it to climb the wall on the right and reach the next area above.
    16. Bounce vertically off the yellow spring and jump onto the small gear above, then spin dash to turn it and reach the next larger gear. Spin dash to move the larger gear and ride the green platform upwards, then collect the boxes on the ledge to your left and use to pink ability to climb the wall.
    17. Spin dash across the ceiling to launch yourself forward, then break open the next container and use the pink ability to turn the nearby gear. Jump to the smaller gear and turn it as well, then make your way onto the next ledge and break open another container.
    18. Use the ability to move up the nearby wall and bounce off a yellow spring at the top, then move up and over the red wall you hit next and pass through the checkpoint. Spin dash to the left to move up another wall, then jump to the next gear and move it forward.
    19. Jump to the smaller gear above and move it forward, then smash open the container ahead and drop to the ground between the two yellow springs. Move the leftmost gear forward and jump to attach yourself to the ceiling above, then head right and pass through the checkpoint.
    20. Bounce up the next two springs ahead and continue forward, then move through the opening past the yellow GO sign and break the container to acquire the pink ability. Use it to smash through the box at the top of the wall on the right, then drop down through the opening you’ve created and bounce off the yellow spring below.
    21. Land on the ledge above and sprint forward down the track, then continue down the inclines until you reach the ground and spin dash ahead. Launch up the ramp at the end and land on the ledge above, then spin dash forward to stay ahead of the rockets and complete the level.

    What about the ring issue? I keep running out of rings before I can hit him, and even when I do get close enough, I don’t see my lock-on target,e ven when I’m playing as Modern Sonic.

    I get the same problem you do Ash, Time Eater, when I’m hitting him, I dodge the attacks and smash his orb. Orb gets really cracked to almost 1 more hit and dies, then I can’t even get near him and ring count is dead almost instantly.
