Sony Confirms PS3 Movie Service Will Go Live This Summer
Sony has confirmed that their new download movie service on the PS3 is set to launch relatively soon, and just in time for Summer. Europe and Japan will get theirs at a later date, and all official launch dates are to be announced next month.
Providing a rival to Microsoft’s service on XBL, this will be the first Sony product to get the video service which it plans to expand onto other products by 2010. Which has me wondering if the movies they will be offering will be cheaper than Pay-per-view, and if they will be able to offer us TV shows and movies from the likes of MTV, Warner Bros., Paramount and National Geographic since they have contracts with Microsoft.
When the official date is announced next month for all regions we will be sure to let you know when to expect it.

It will be cheaper than Paper-view – 90 Minutes * 60 Secondes * 24 Frames / Second = nearly 130000 frames … to create a flipbook this size …
