Sony Confirms That Whole PSN Pass Thing

The PSN Pass? It’s real, and it’s what you expected. Operating like other companies’ online passes and Sony’s own PSP “online entitlement,” the PSN Pass will restrict online play to those who have a code bundled with new copies of games. They have not said what the PSN Pass will cost those who buy the games used or rent.

They did say, though, that every game might not make use of the pass; rather, they say first-party games will get the pass on a game-by-game basis. So probably it’ll only come with games that have a prominent online element. Obviously, Resistance 3 will be the first game to have the pass.

Is anyone upset by this? I guess we’re used to this by now.
