Sony Denies The Last of Us Remastered Release Date Rumors

Sony has rebuked rumors that The Last of Us Remastered will be releasing next week.

Responding to queries from the gaming press, the company affirmed that the Remastered game will not be landing in stores on June 13th, something a Tweet from the UK-based retailer Game had claimed earlier in the day.

“The release date is not June 13th,” said a Sony staffer. “As we’ve announced, The Last of Us Remastered for PS4 will release this summer. We will keep you posted on an official release date.”

It’s worth noting, of course, that had these rumors been real it would be have been the second time details about the Remastered edition were leaked. Prior to that the original game’s DLC, Left Behind, was also accidentally revealed before official announcements could be made.
