Sony Unveils Spelunky, Nidhogg and More Indies for PS4

Sony has confirmed that more than a dozen new indie games are heading to PS4 and PlayStation platforms.

The list of games runs the range of genres and includes a slew of titles including Nidhogg, Axiom Verge, Source, Skulls of the Shogun, Chasm, Drifter, Chariot, Escape Goat 2, Jamestown Plus, Ironclad Tactics, Starwhal and Apotheon.

While the focus of Sony’s various announcements was, understandably, the PS4, it’s worth noting that several of the titles will also be landing on PS3 and Vita. Starwhal: Just the Tip Flopping will be heading to PS3, while the sidescroller Axiom Verge and the space exploration title Drifter will both be coming to Vita. The PS4 version of Spelunky will also feature cross buy support with the current PS4 and Vita iterations.

Sony customers can expect the various announced titles to release at a variety of different times with some coming as soon as this fall and others looking to launch in 2015.
