Why did you all take yun seong out of the soul calibur series? Yun seong was one of the only characters that made me like soul calibur. You guys should’ve taken out cervantes and add gan ning from dynasty warriors. Now that yun seong’s out, the game isn’t worth getting.

this is an out rage they took my favorite fighting game and turned it into a generic dumb ass create-a-character mode that just happens to have a fighting mini-game attached.

They didnt just take out yun seong, there’s also no one like talim, zasalamel, seong mina, rock. I do miss some of them. It would have also been great if they actually allowed a arcade story ending for each character like previous games. I remember the ones when you would have a optional ending if you pulled off a quick time event. I guess you also have to wait for dlc & i keep speculating that the middle panel on character select screen isnt just for looks but some big to download.

Yeah, I wish they hadn’t removed some of the old characters like Yun seong, Seong Mi-na, Rock, Zasalamel, Talim, etc. And I also wished they had an ending for each character like the previous games. My favorite SC is the third one, I liked playing “Chronicles of the Sword”.

You took out yun-sueng, taki and replaced her with natsu? why? the game was built on some of these characters being in the franchise. to be honest, the reason i even got the game is becuase my father and i have been playin soul calibur since dreamcast, since soul edge… my father always used seung mina, come on now devlopers, majorly dissapointed. big let down…..

I’m playing SC since SC1!
I have to say, Soul Calibur 5 is a Kind of crap!
WTF r u done with Astaroth?? Why the Hell he is now green??
Or Nightmare, where is the red thing in the middle of his Body??
And Kilik? …you know what i mean…!
I Miss some Old Charakters like Seung Mina, Lizardman, H Sung Kyung or Inferno (SC1)!
Everything is Allright, but i would be greatful, if we would see, how it all happened (a story of each Charakter)!

Unlocakble Characters? So what. Edge Master & Kilik are characters whose styles are a collection of other already existing styles. Nothing new here. No new styles here. The same thing with Elysium. I already can play all the styles these three characters represent. There is nothing new or unlockable here.

I completely agree with all the above.
(apart from Yung seong, except only that i enjoyed beating his y ass)
the SC5 Team have really ballsed this game up, plus the fact that slow moving char’s like siegfried and astaroth have almost near 0% chance when knocked down or against the faster types, who seem not to be just quick but also as f**king powerful as the big boys.
(point of argument there: why even bother adding them if they rip of some of the best chars?) but i suppose a long running game withers into a polished turd over time.
So I ‘ve basically bought an updated version of an already brilliant game but only ALOT ter. roll on tekken, thats if they havn’t added devil bunnies and singing flowers to fight.

hate how some good characters were replaced by crap. story sucks. no real unlockables. mostly PISSED about how they took out talim and zasalmel who were the most fun characters 2 use. and completely agree with Esk. bbring back chronicles of the sword.

How pathetic! It’s more fun with Soul calibur ; “The broken Destiny”
That is I prefer. you see, yes, the graphics is the best but the characters????!!! How pathetic, DON’T MAKE ME LAUGH.

Ok ya I agree with every one else on this game but another thing on the fighting when u play on legendary souls the characters u fight use the same 4 moves over and over there are to easy to predict through out the game it’s the same. Who ever is responsible for destroying one of the best series of games ever should be sent to a deep dark cold abyss for the rest of there natural life

WTF!!!!! i bought this game 5 days after it came out, played it, and it took me FOREVER to understand how these freaken characters came in and replaced the ones i came to know and love. ive played since sc2 and i have no idea why they did this. first they replace the AWESOME inferno with some demonized zasalamel, (who is weak in my opinion) then to algol, (maybe not that bad) and now its some CHICK!!!!! if that isnt bad enough they’ve replaced lizard man with his son which some how has WINGS, (maybe he mated with a bird or something) taki with her less attractive student, took out the power-ups on character creation, and took out my favorate punching bags all together. (yun-soeung, talim, zasalamel, and song-meana) adding ezio to this has insulted assasins creed. the cool graphics doesnt make it worth my time if they cant handle keeping the cool things they had before. at the least to improve they should be ressurecting inferno as either just a boss or playable. the idiots that changed my childhood game like this with their crappy ideas should be fired and forced to work at an arby’s where they’re only ones cleaning all the time and then they see a fat guy eating chili, walking out the door of the mens room right when its their turn to clean it. >:P
