Sources Say Call of Duty: Space Marines is On the Way from Sledgehammer
Sledgehammer Games, which was founded at Activision by some guys from Visceral Games, are working on a Call of Duty game, which we knew. Also, as you would expect, Activision publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said last week that a new Call of Duty game is coming out next year. So it’s reasonable to think that next year’s Call of Duty title is also Sledgehammer’s Call of Duty title. But that’s not the news.
The news is that, according to “industry sources” cited by Gamasutra, Sledgehammer’s CoD will be set in the future.
In space.
With Space Marines.
Now, pardon me, but I happen to think that is pretty much the best idea for a game ever. A game set in space, maybe with some aliens — or maybe not, whatever — built with the sensibilities of a Call of Duty title? Holy s**t. You cannot even fathom how much I want that.

Holy Cow this sounds like the worst idea ever for call of duty, I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.
PS battle field 2142 is the only game i have seen really pull it off and even that wasn’t in outer space.
