Spec Ops: the Line Multiplayer Trailer and Pre-Order Info
2K Games has released a multiplayer trailer for its upcoming third-person military shooter Spec Ops: The Line. The game‘s multiplayer mode will feature 4-on-4 class based combat and include a ranking system that allows players to unlock perks and other unique customizations as their character progresses.

This trailer impressed me less than the previous trailer, which was grabbing in spite of being chock-full of action movie trailer clichés. However, the game’s multiplayer component doesn’t seem to bring anything new to the table. I’m not a fan of sticky-cover combat with chest-high walls, and the whole sandstorm mechanic has been done before. The again, a game needn’t be revolutionary to be fun.
Spec Ops: The Line is set to hit store shelves on June 26th, 2012.
