Splinter Cell Blacklist Unplayable In Certain Parts Of The World

Many PC owners of Splinter Cell Blacklist have reported being unable to launch the game.

Players hailing from regions in South East Asia, Africa and the Middle East have reportedly encountered a “pre-load complete” state upon installing the game and have been unable to progress any further.┬áThe problem appears to affect players from the following countries: South Africa, Bermuda, Kuwait, Indonesia, Egypt, Israel, the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan, Cyprus and Serbia.

Those affected by the problem took the issue to Reddit, the Steam forums and directly to Ubisoft in an attempt to look for a solution.

Thus far, the only workaround for the problem is to log in to a VPN and circumvent Steam’s regional locks. Doing so violates the Steam EULA and is not a recommended course of action.
