Splinter Cell: Echoes Graphic Novel to Release in 2013

A full-length graphic novel set in the Splinter Cell universe will bridge the gap between 2010′s Splinter Cell: Conviction and the upcoming Blacklist.

Speaking with IGN, writer Nathan Edmondson — known for Olympus, Grifter and Iron Man — explained that the story focuses on Sam Fisher and follows events between Conviction and Blacklist. Other characters from the Splinter Cell universe will appear, and Edmondson is personally keen on Fisher’s “anti-hero” persona.

Ever since it launched UbiWorkshop to handle transmedia in-house, Ubisoft has been praised for its comic tie-ins, such as Assassin’s Creed series “The Fall,” so we can expect another winner from Echoes.

Splinter Cell: Echoes is due sometime in 2013.
