Standalone Killzone 3 Multiplayer Now Free-to-Play on PSN (VIDEO)

In celebration of Killzone 3‘s first anniversary, a standalone trial version of the game‘s multiplayer mode is freely available on the PSN today. “Killzone 3 Multiplayer” includes the Guerrilla Warfare, Warzone, and Operations game modes, as well as all the Killzone 3 maps, DLC included.

However, the free trial ends once you hit the rank of Sergeant I, so don’t get worked up if you lose — you’ll get to play free that much longer.

Players who already own Killzone 3 will be able to partake in Double XP Weekend, from Friday, March 2 at 8:00am Pacific, until Monday, March 5 at 2:00am.
