Star Trek D-A-C Sets Course for XBL Arcade

This week Xbox Live Arcade brings you two new games and new footware for your avatar. Both Star Trek D-A-C and Texas Cheat’em went live today and are running 800 MS points each.

Star Trek D-A-C is a top down shooter for up to 12 players in multiplayer mode. There’s also single and co-op play available. You can take on the Romulan Empire in a flagship, a fighter, or a bomber. I’ll admit I did have a small panic attack when I heard it was based on the motion picture until I picked up on the “new” on a reread. Star Trek D-A-C  available in all regions except Japan and Korea.

Texas Cheat’em adds the traditional method of winning at Texas Hold ‘Em, cheating. Bluff your opponents or cheat outright. It’s just like playing poker at family gatherings. However if you happen to be in the Portugal region, you’re a big loser this hand.

xblfootwareFor those XBL subscribers that enjoy decking out their avatars, there are new choices in footware today. The guys are the big winners with flip flops, high tops, 70′s Leather Platforms (shudder), and  the socks and sandles combo. The ladies can get sunny day sandals and white 60′s gogo boots. Doesn’t Microsoft know that usually women that are shoe obsessed?

Thanks to Major Nelson for the heads up.
