Star Trek Online Celebrates Three-Year Anniversary With Free Ships

Everybody loves Star Trek: The Next Generation, right? I sure hope so. Star Trek Online knows that TNG is the best of all the Star Trek shows, so they are offering some fancy new (old?) ships for the three-year anniversary of STO’s launch. Specifically, an Ambassador-class ship that looks strikingly like Enterprise-C – otherwise known as the starship that appears in the TNG episode “Yesterday’s Enterprise” – and a Kamarag-class Klingon ship (named after the Klingon ambassador from the fourth Star Trek movie). You must complete a mission chain to unlock them, and the chain will only be available from January 31st until February 14th. Nothing like some limited-edition gear to get those players pumped, after all. More details on the ship stats will be coming within the next few days. You can check out the anniversary announcement on the STO site.

Sorry to try to out-nerd you – but the ship from TNG was the Enterprise-D. The C appeared in an episode of TNG as I recall. E appeared in all of the TNG movies except for Generations.

Aha! You are right, I apologize for the typo. The Enterprise-C was the ship that appeared in the episode “Yesterday’s Enterprise”.

I just acquired a Jem’Hadar escort carrier and as a tactical officer, am very happy with it. Look forward to these new ships.
