While surfing for upcoming game releases that were in the back of my head that I thought I should check in on, I came across this complete mess.

More research into this indicates that much of the developed works with STO has been sold off to a SF Bay area software company. The internet is an amazing place and one such listing for game developement in the Bay Area happens to be one of the larger of game developement companies….UBISOFT. HMM interesting how UBISOFT already have a number of Star trek titles under their belt…smells a bit like 1+1=2 to me.

Good-Bye STO…the chances of this small-time developer coming back from this is slim to none.

As much as i wanted to see this game in action, i had a feeling it wasn’t going to see the light of day.

All the MMO’s i wanna play get screwed. All the way back to Mythica, then Imperator, Gods & Heroes, now Star Trek?! Not to mention Earth & Beyond getting shut down not to mention the legendary crap that happened to Star Wars Galaxies. I wonder if Blizzards servers would explode if i played WoW?
