Star Wars: The Old Republic Patch 1.2 To Adjust Space Ports, Other Stuff

BioWare took to its Star Wars: The Old Republic forums to answer questions about the upcoming Game Update 1.2, which the developer says will include a few tweaks it’s looking into rolling out.

Among them are changes that most players will enjoy: adjustments to the spaceports found on all the game’s planets, which often require lots of time to navigate and traverse as players leave their ships and head out into each new world. BioWare says it’s considering finding ways to make moving through spaceports faster, including implementing speeders inside them and allowing players to go directly to their ships when shuttling to orbital stations. A fast-travel solution to send players directly to their ships, however, is not among the possibilities just yet.

BioWare is also working on improving a few other things, including adding a “looking for group” tools and end-game crafting that will encourage players to use crafting skills that aren’t Biochem. As the game stands now, equipment gathered through PvP play tops out higher than items players can craft themselves, but BioWare intends to alter that so players will have a reason to use other crafting skills.

The forum post discusses a few other things as well, like the possibility of customizing your ship (it’s something BioWare wants to implement, but currently can’t because of all the class content tied up in the ships). Check out the full post to see all the questions and their answers.
