Star Wars: The Old Republic Reveals Player Housing

Even though it’s gone free-to-play, Star Wars: The Old Republic is still getting regular updates. Today, Bioware showed off the latest upcoming patch, including one long-awaited feature: player housing.

In a livestream hosted on SWTOR’s official channel earlier today, a short teaser trailer showed off an apartment on Coruscant, with the words, “Welcome home,” on the screen. You can see a number of items in the room, but there’s no indication of what might be customizable. Since then, there’s been some interesting discussion on the SWTOR sub-Reddit about what players hope the new feature will include.

Obviously, we’ll all have to wait and see, but it’s worth speculating about what you might like Bioware to include. Do you want decorations and cosmetics galore, or more functional items like crafting stations and storage? Tell us what you’d most like to see, and then we’ll see who guesses the closest once more details become available.

My bet is it has all the same staples as a ship, perhaps with a bit of an upgrade. Also. I am gueassing it will be fast travel to for xonvience, lastly, I bet the house itself is obtaining f2p players but all of the perks (storage chest, bank) will require the usual unlocks.

It won’t be long before all Bioware games go free to play. That’s the only way they’ll get anyone to still play them.
