Star Wars: The Old Republic to Host More Surprise Events

SWTOR’s Rakghoul Plague event was a hit amongst players, and BioWare seeks to repeat that success with more surprise events in the future.

Game director James Ohlen tweeted:

Patch 1.2.1 saw the end of the Rakghoul outbreak, and Ohlen is now looking for feedback on what players liked most about the event, so be sure to tweet back to him.

With the recent news that server mergers are a possibility due to a drop in the number of concurrent online players, as well as evidence suggesting the game may be bleeding subscribers, another surprise event can’t come soon enough.

The game will never truely die but the growth has and now Bioware has to figure out how to stop the massive bleeding. Its just going to get much worse with Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2 and Tera Online all coming out within the next 20 days. Star Wars Old Republic meet Star wars Battlefront.

Sorry but this is total garbage. They’re only addressing content. That’s not why I quit. I quit because of the hundreds of bugs that plagued the game. They are more concerned with adding stuff then fixing what’s broken. Last time I looked adding stuff to something thats broken still remains broken and the added stuff goes to waste. I wouldn’t even dream of going back untill I’ve seen that they’ve fixed the many bugs I was getting pelted by. (Some game killers, some not. All annoying.)
Really seems that their priorities are all out of wack. Not suprising after talking to their help staff. Worst in the world of gaming, as is EA’s. Looks like I won’t be back for a very long time if ever.
