StarCraft 2 Discount Leading Up To Heart of the Swarm Release
StarCraft 2 is soon to be expanded with the release of Heart of the Swarm, and Blizzard is betting on getting players who’ve yet to play the original title to pick it up before the expansion comes out.
The publisher announced today that it’s putting StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty on sale at a whopping 50% discount up until the release of Heart of the Swarm, which comes out on March 12. Players who pick up the game will have a week to play through the game’s lengthy, if challenging single-player campaign and get a strong taste of things yet to come.
Whereas players take on the role of Jim Raynor in Wings of Liberty, Heart of the Swarm focuses on Kerrigan and the Zerg campaign. Additionally, the game’s multiplayer modes are being overhauled to allow for better co-op modes and more accessibility for newcomers to Starcraft to have an easier time with the game. You can find out what to expect in our detailed feature here.
The deal ends on March 11, 11:59pm PST, so pick it up while you can on Blizzard’s online store.
