Starcraft 2 Will Not Appear on Consoles

sc2.jpgWell, if you’re a Starcraft fan, you’re going to need a PC to check out Starcraft 2. Over in the Starcraft 2 FAQ, you’ll find the following Q&A:

Q: Will there be a console version of StarCraft II?

A:StarCraft II is being developed for the PC. We have no current plans to bring the game to any console platform.

So, once again, Blizzard shows no love for the console owners. The only Blizzard title planned for consoles was canned last year, and who knows when the next one will come along. For the PC users, this is your exclusivity revenge.

Update: Starcraft II is finally out! Want to get a leg up on the competition? Check out our starcraft 2 cheats page! Stuck on a campaign mission? Try our starcraft 2 walkthrough. Need to know which objectives to concentrate on? Study up on our starcraft 2 achievements.

Starcraft is arguably the best real time strategy game out there, released 10 years ago it still sees thousands of people competing online, this sequel is what people have been waiting for. pressures on blizzard will they mess up the best game they have going for them or can they do it again?

Screw console owners. This always has been an amazing PC game–trying to port RTS games to console hasn’t really worked in the past.

Although, it might work really well on the Wii…

That’s not a bad idea, actually. The Wii might actually be a good console for RTS ports where other consoles failed.

“once again, Blizzard shows no love for the console owners”

Blizzard has made console games before, infact Starcraft was also released on the Nintendo 64.

Are you serious? You want something like StarCraft64??? While they could probably find a way to make WoW work with xbox live and the such, this just means they aren’t wasting time doing a crappier version that hardly anyone will want to play anyways. StarCraft64 was horrible.
