StarCraft MMO Mod Trailer Released

The World of StarCraft mod made a stir when Activision-Blizzard issued a cease and desist against its creator, then followed up by inviting him for a tour of Blizzard headquarters and only asking him to change the name of his creation. Since then, we haven’t heard much from the newly renamed StarCraft Universe mod, until recently, when an official gameplay trailer was released.

According to the mod developers:

Though StarCraft Universe will not be a full scale MMO, it takes the team oriented raiding style of World of Warcraft and combines it with many slasher action RPG elements of Diablo.

Those look like some intense bottle battles. No ETA has been given on a release or beta date, but you can visit the official website to stay informed.

Ok, I think I need to dust off my Starcraft 2 again. I mean, I’ve played a lot of mods for it, and some very good mods. But they eventually wore thin. Now this, this looks like a good reason to spend copious amounts of time on Starcraft again.
