Steam Goes F2P

Steam, in its continuing quest to take over the digital tail space, is now offering free-to-play games for the first time. Launching immediately are the following five F2P titles: Spiral Knights, Forsaken Worlds, Champions Online: Free for All, Global Agenda: Free Agent and Alliance of Valliant Arms.

To mark the occasions, Valve is rolling out “exclusive in-game content” for each of the games starting Wednesday. On Wednesday, the content will be made available for Spiral Knights, and each successive day will have a F2P game of the day in which folks will be able to get them some of that content. The games will be “F2P game of the day” in the order they’re listed above.

Specifics on what kind of s–t that content will be are not known at this time.
