Steam Greenlights High-Profile Kickstarter Titles in Latest Batch

Valve has Greenlighted another batch of games for Steam Greenlight—15 of them, to be precise. The list includes a couple of high-profile Kickstarter-backed titles, Maia and Satellite Reign, and a classic adventure game, The 7th Guest. Also on Greenlight is Viscera Cleanup Detail, a title which we featured as one of our Indie Gems.

In addition to the new batch of games, Valve made an interesting comment on how Greenlight approvals are not based entirely on votes.

“These titles were selected on the same criteria we have been using in the past: Votes in Greenlight give us a hugely valuable point of data in gauging community interest along with external factors such as press reviews, crowd-funding successes, performance on other similar platforms, and awards and contests to help form a more complete picture of community interest in each title,” the company said.

Here’s everything Valve added to Steam today:

  • 7 Days To Die
  • The 7th Guest
  • Crashtastic
  • The Dead Linger
  • Door Kickers
  • INFRA
  • Maia
  • Nekro
  • The Novelist
  • Paranomal
  • Satellite Reign
  • Stranded Deep
  • Strike Vector
  • Viscera Cleanup Detail
  • Wayfarer: The Outer Reaches

The new additions brings the number of Greenlighted titles on Steam up to 160.
